This place lies 1 kilometer west of Siddharthanagar in Rupendehi district of the Lumbini zone. it is said that Lumbini is a beautiful garden of green and shady Sal trees . Mostly people used to visits here on the occasion of full moon day of Baishak which is the birth date of Lord Buddha. Lumbini remained neglected for centuries but recently both Nepal Governments as well as the united nation have taken a keen interested in its development.Thursday, September 2, 2010
